Cadwalader's Ice Cream

Vanilla is our speciality but we also have the steady regulars, (strawberry, chocolate etc) adventurous, (apricot & brandy, St Clemantine) outrageous, (dragons breath, chocolate porridge) and many many more.

We make a low fat dairy ice cream which has nearly half the fat found in super premium ice creams. It is therefore an indulgence without the super abundant calories.

For the technical tasters amongst us Cadwalader's has a cold taste, fluffy mouth feel and a medium long taste. For trading standards purposes we need to advise you that it contains pasteurised egg, milk and possible traces of nut.

This year we have made sure that we have fresh fruit for our Sundaes.

Besides the ever popular Splits, KBG, Fruit and Nut Sundaes we now offer Calypsos, Fruit Salads, Designer Platters and Seasonal Specials.

We are happy to cut into any of the fruit on offer: pineapples, watermelons, star fruit, kiwi or what ever. Our family Calypso Special comes with 12 flavours, 6 fruit choices, sauces, 6 spoons and of course bibs for all.

You can expect a quality of coffee at Cadwalader's to match any dedicated coffee shop. It is all in the training, quality of equipment, quality of product and passion.

Our milk proteins are correct, the tamping pressure assured and the freshness of grind at its optimum. Using an Arabica /Robusta blend those Cappuccinos, Lattes, Espressos and Americanos are all there to a choice of size.

Easily our fastest growing product on offer. Our plan is to develop an extensive range, not just for seasonal specialities, but also unique regulars.

Based upon Mango or Cranberry juices our Smoothies and Thinnies are all named after each shop's favourite. Portmeirion is Mango, Ice Cream and Fruits of the Forest.

Thinnies are for those who watch their weight (no ice cream?), like something extremely cool and very refreshing.

Like our iced teas, they are all ideal on long hot sunny days.

The core of our Chilled Drinks range, a special blend of milk, ice cream and the best of sauces, each one is made to order and you can even invent your own.

How’s about Chocolate Muffin Shake, Marshmallow and Mint and the list could go on and ... ?

Yes, we do the standards: strawberry, chocolate and banana.

For the young at heart we do "Wibbly Wobbly Jelly and Ice Cream." Also "Cheeky Cheerful Chums Sundae", plus a wide range of small portions:

Toddlers Teddy Cones, Raspberry blows and smudges of cream.

We are looking all the time to come up with new ideas and so in our Cardiff Bay shop we are experimenting with Ice Cream Cocktails.

A chilled blend of fruit, ice cream and a spirit of your choice.

Ice Cream Shots plus Cocktail Sundaes are also on the menu. Baileys and Vanilla Ice Cream is to die for.

A nibble with a drink, a light biscuit with a sundae, or indulgent creamy fruity gateaux with ice cream are all available to enhance the Cadwalader's Experience.

Wide ranges of sweet snacks are to choose from to suit all occasions, weather and times of day. All sticky bun fetishists are welcome.

In our larger shops, Cardiff, Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Trentham and Llandudno we offer a range of hot and cold savoury snacks, from pasties, soups and paninis to sandwiches, quiches and oat cakes (Trentham).

In the summer the range is not so extensive as in the winter.
